Mr Emefiele faces four charges, including illegal redesign of naira notes, disobedience to the direction of law, and illegal act causing injury to the public.

INEC said the decision complies with the Court of Appeal’s directive, directing that both parties maintain the status quo pending the determination of a substantive suit currently before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
