Fresh violence has erupted in Lamurde Local Government Area of Adamawa State, leaving scores of people feared dead after armed militias reportedly went on a killing spree across several communities. Local sources said the attackers rampaged through villages, killing residents and hurriedly burying victims as panic spread across the area.

Suspected bandits on Sunday night attacked Unguwar Gishir community in Malumfashi Local Government Area of Katsina State, abducting several residents and looting valuable belongings despite an existing peace arrangement between community leaders and armed groups operating in the area. It was gathered that the gunmen invaded the community late at night.
