Activist Nwapa Condemns Lagos Government As Makoko Residents Battle Cruel Rainstorm, Sleep In Open Boats After Demolition
A revolutionary activist, Francis Nwapa, has berated the Lagos State government for subjecting residents of the Makoko waterfront community to inhumane conditions by demolishing their homes. Nwapa lamented that residents of the community, especially women and children, were forced to endure a midnight rainstorm sleeping in open boats.
