The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has condemned the alleged sexual assault and public humiliation of women during a recent festival in Ozoro, Delta State, describing the incident as a “national disgrace” and evidence of a “collapse of conscience.”

At least 74 corpses of suspected terrorists were recovered by troops of  Operation Hadin Kai under the Nigerian Army during intensified military operations across the North-East, the Defence Headquarters, Abuja, has said.

The Nigerian government has ordered the arrest and prosecution of perpetrators of alleged sexual assault linked to a local festival in Ozoro community, Delta State. The Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, gave the directive in a statement signed by the ministry’s Head, Press and Public Relations, Ahmed Danbazau, in Abuja.

Governor Charles Soludo has declared Anambra State the safest state in Nigeria, claiming there has been no major security incident in the last three to four months.  Speaking during a media chat in Awka on Friday, Soludo said his administration had dismantled over 60 criminal camps and restored normalcy in at least eight local government
